Here 's a pic of her from a site you probably know: http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Culture/StorytellersCircle/0412.html
She tends to move around a lot so I'd get in touch with her old storytellers circle in NS (http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Culture/StorytellersCircle) before you go to see if she's still around. She was my best friend 30 years ago in Quebec City and, sad to say, we've only recently renewed acquaintance after many years apart. She is an honest and true woman of many many talents. Her coordinates and brief bio are as follows: Harolyn J. Gourley, 5 Hamlen St., Glace Bay, NS B1A 3J5, E-mail: anniespantry@hotmail.com
Bio: Born in Cape Breton; raised in Michigan; B.A., University of Michigan ('88), concentration - Cultural Anthropology; traveled throughout North America; seldom at a loss for words! Storyteller, "Versifier", Raconteuse, Imagineer and Champion Mouser (Ret.). Across the flicker and crackle of an 18th Century re-enactment campfire, to the bated-breath circle of faces in a library or grade-school classroom, at receptions and banquets, for friend and foe alike...there's always just one more story that wants telling! And the best story - true, traditional or anecdotal -- is always...the next one! (So, then, shall we begin? Ah-h-h-h..."Once, there was a Woman..."
