Lost in Literal Translation

I have always strongly suspected that the opponents to Obama's health reform don't really understand what they are protesting. Those doubts have been put to rest. (see right).

It's amazing to me that some Americans are more than willing to let the right-wing media do their thinking for them. Bringing in socialized health care that protects the health of all Americans, regardless of their income status, is the essence of the American spirit.

I hope Obama converts Americans to the metric system next, and then colorizes their money. I doubt we can make Americans as nice as we are, but at least we'll be able to measure the chasm that separates us in kilometers.

It's interesting how so many strong opinions exist in the poorly educated.

"Oh My Gods!"

I'm betting it's a plant or a shop, frankly. Colour me a starry-eyed optimist, but I don't think anybody could be that illiterate and still spell "grandma".

See, my first reaction was to laugh and think that was a brilliant parody.

And then I re-thought the parody.

And... wha?? Bu... No. Just, no.

I'll be hiding under the bed until The Stupid goes away. Seriously - what the hell do they do with public education in that country, dammit? Really??
