A whole new fresh look

I finally realized that, as a paid member, I can change my layout! So here's my first go at it. I think it's a little too busy and I'd rather have the icon on the left than the right.

Also, the banner at the top of the page is blue. I have an orange banner I could use until I come up with a proper banner, but I can't figure out how to change the blue one.

I'm supposed to be working right now.

Look in your LJ settngs for Manage | Customize. LJ has a series of menus and links that let you change the template, colors, and other doodads.

Thanks for the offer Sarah! As you may have noticed, I managed to change the color of the banner to an orangey-red, but I don't know how to change the color.

The problem that I'm having is that LiveJournal won't give me access to the HTML code behind the journal, so I can only make modifications through a series of menus. Blarg.

When I had full control over my site, it look like this: my old blog. But that's my old blog and I've become addicted to the LJ way of things. Maybe I'll go back to that blog one day...
