Radio Gaga

Samhain (Halloween) has some very definite traditions about it. Remembering people we've lost, letting go of the negative aspects of our lives, banishing unwanted stuff, getting dressed up, and giving out treats to the kiddies are just a few examples. But for me and a few others, dealing with the media is also quickly becoming a Samhain tradition.

Today I was interviewed for a French student newspaper from McGill (McGill has a French newspaper? Who knew?). On Saturday, I'll be on CBC radio's All in a Weekend radio show doing a 10 minute interview about Paganism, Halloween, Samhain, and everything inbetween. I'll even be preparing a wee halloween story that explains the origin of the Jack O'Lantern.

The show is being taped on Saturday, but it'll probably play on Sunday (88.5 FM sometime between 6am and 9am). Prove to me that you are an adoring fan and tune in!

Weeee! I'd love if I can get a copy of the taped show. I'd do it myself, but I'm in the US this weekend and won't be able to record it. Also, clips of newspaper articles too, much appreciated.

Good luck on Saturday!

I'll send you the email I wrote to a journalism student at Carleton U about Paganism and Halloween. (heck, I might just post it).

Do these radio stations have a website where we non-locals can listen in?

Yep. If you go to the All in a Weekend link, in the lower-right there's a link to listen to the radio through the website.
