Happy Birthday!

In addition to that OTHER person's birthday on the 25th of December, I am wishing [livejournal.com profile] twilightbunny a happy b-day filled with monkeys and other assorted furry mammals (don't ask).

We got lots of interesting loot this year including a bigger tent (much needed), a Justice League calendar, framed photos, a bag for my djembe, and other sundry gifts. Loot!

Earlier in the month, my chosen family got together and exchanged gifts. As usual, whenever I host a potluck, I get way too much food, so by dessert, we were stuffed. In loot distribution, I was pleased to hand out the horde pocket watches, bottles of Sortilege (a Canadian Whiskey blended with maple syrup) and Du Minot Dore, and bathing accessories. I received a fishing rod from The Admiral, which has it own story which I may related at a later date.

I hope you are having a safe and happy holiday season. My thoughts are with you all.

Please don't take that term to be meant as hurtful; you should know that you're always welcome in my home and the same for Mum and Dad. If I could have you over for Xmas in my home of Montreal, you (should) know that I would.

So being cut off from my actual family (Mum and Dad in Cuba/Quebec, you in Ireland), I have a second family with those to whom I am close in Montreal.

So merry Xmas to you and your friends in Galway and Happy New Year!
