I was about to say the same thing - that much of science is speculation and theory, but that people hold so tight to this speculation that they conclude it is the truth - emotionally and angrily so - and this scares me as much as any other aggressive blind faith does.
But hope - for scientific theory or for faith - the hope that these Truths have some degree of probability - that feeds our happy wolf, doesn't it?
