Yesterday, in a fit of creative destruction, I took my old TV apart. It was one of those furniture TVs where the set fits inside a huge wooden box frame. In the spirit of recycling and re-purposing, I figured I could remove the TV from it's wooden container and make the inside a set of shelves for my DVDs and tapes.
So the electronics were easy enough to dispose of, but what do I do with the tube? It's huge and heavy. Will the garbage men take it if I put it out by the curb?
