Smoke-free, not odour-free
Jun. 1st, 2006 10:22 amI went out to Hurley's pub for its first 100% smoke-free night. It was great not having to be assaulted by clouds of smoke and stink as I walked through the pub. Of course, now that there's no smoke in the air, body odour is more prominent. And with all this mugginess in the air... well, just make sure you take a shower before you go out.
What freaky weather we had last night! From my office window, I saw three lightning bolts come down at the same time and I heard the West Island lost power due to strikes. The rain would be coming down in buckets on one block, but the next block would be dry. Could this weird rain be an omen to the smoking ban?
This week is heavy in so many ways. Work is piling up, the biography is progressing, and I need to push some of my storytelling projects ahead.
Work, work, work.
