Timing and Palm Glitches
Sep. 8th, 2006 10:36 amSo I went on ebay.ca and bought a Logitech KeyCase keyboard for my Palm m130. I paid $13 for it (including shipping), it arrived while I was away, so I just unwrapped it last night.
The PDA has been sitting in its cradle since last Thursday, so I figure it's fully charged. To my surprise, it's not charged; the battery is almost dead. I try to reset it in its cradle, fiddle with it, and do a number of different resets. Nothing. It won't charge and it continues to lose power.
So I turn to the Internet, looking for advice. To my dismay, I find out that m130s have a tendency to simply stop charging at some point. They tend to have some kind of disconnection between the PDA and the cradle, and because it's an older PDA, there's no support for it.
Drat. I'll probably get a more recent, more powerful PDA (the Compaq iPaq is looking promising), but I never got to test my new keyboard!
Anybody interested in a PDA keyboard for $5 (plus shipping)?
