No room for more potatoes
Aug. 13th, 2007 08:15 amWhich means I've already got alot on my plate. BA-DUM-BUMP *PISH*
Ms. Carotte was admitted to the Jewish General Hospital this morning for the surgery on her foot. For those of you who don't know, the doctor who fixed her broken ankle screwed up big time, so of course, we're the ones paying the price. Rather than take her claims seriously, the doctor just gave her the bum's rush out his office door, saying "There's nothing wrong with your foot. The pain is all in your head. Stop wasting my time!"
It turns out that one of the tendons that hold the foot bones in place had become disconnected, causing the discomfort. Because so much time has passed, the damage is unrepairable. Therefore, today's surgery will be to re-arrange the existing tendons so that her foot can be properly supported.
So her surgery is supposed to be this morning. The recovery will be as follows:
2 weeks of non-movement (she will probably spend 1 to 2 weeks in the hospital)
6 weeks on crutches
6 weeks with the Boot of Destruction
1 year of taking it easy
If everything goes well, this should be the beginning of the end. Ms. Carotte will be able to start working again, getting back to a normal life. Keeping fingers crossed. Prayers and healing energies accepted at par.
