Becoming one with my inner skinny guy
May. 26th, 2009 02:59 pmSo I'm on day two of my new commitment to losing some weight. I'm trying to re-kickstart my metabolism to get it to process my body fat and give me some new energy.
Morning: drink 1 tall glass of water and cycle on the stationary bike hard for 15 minutes
Daytime: I'm taking a bag of food with me to work so that I can nibble at some meat and veggies every 2 hours.
Evening: eat supper, but no food afterwards until the next morning.
What I've noticed so far is that my energy and alertness levels have gone up during the day. Every couple of hours, I do get hungry again, but I'm not tempted to over-eat. Nibbling on the veggies and meat fills me up quickly and gives me a boost of energy.
I need to borrow a scale from someone to get my current weight (which should be around 260 lbs), but I won't weigh myself again for at least two months. I know that weight loss is a slow process, so I don't want to get discouraged by misleading numbers. All I want to commit to now is trying to speed up my metabolism and get some extra energy, as well as fit into my clothes better.
