Mar. 12th, 2007 03:13 pmI just upgraded my Norton AntiVirus and now the Auto-Protect is ruining my computer life. It keeps giving me a message that "Auto-Protect has blocked W32.Alcra.F as a security risk", which isn't a problem in of itself, except that the message keeps stealing the focus away from whatever window I have open. This means I can't play games and I can't type in any program because the focus keeps changing.
The time it took me to write these two paragraphs, I had to reselect the window over 25 times. Argh!
I've tried to switch the Auto-Protect off, I've tried to switch Norton off, but it changes nothing. The message window keeps appearing and stating the same thing.
I'm running a full scan now, but it's still not done (3 hours+). Does anyone know how to switch the Auto-Protect messages off? I tried all sorts of things and it makes no difference.\
Update: when I rebooted, the problem went away. Weird.
