Discharged, but still sick
Oct. 4th, 2007 09:20 amMs. Carotte has been discharged from the hospital, so don't go looking for her there. It's a miserable place and we're both glad to be away from there.
She's staying with the Admiral in Brossardland for 10 days or so. The Admiral has a house, which means she can sleep on the ground floor and have relatively easy access to the kitchen and bathroom. Thanks be to The Tamu who has lent us her grandfather's walker. It helps muchly.
Ms. Carotte now has a walking cast, which means she can walk short distances on her own. Although it's still painful, she can sit up and walk around a bit as long as she's wearing her brace. Unfortunately, the morning she was to leave the hospital, she has apparently picked up some kind of flu bug. She's been vomiting since yesterday morning (and all last night), but when she told the doctors about this, they just gave her the bum's rush out of the hospital. Insanity.
If you want to call Ms. Carotte and you don't have the Admiral's phone number, email me and I'll pass it along.
