Old friends found again

When I was a kid (late 1970s), there was a girl who spent her summers with her grandparents who lived across the street. She was from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her name was Paryse. We were introduced because I was the only other kid on her street who could speak English. We quickly hit it off and were summer friends for many years.

We wrote a few letters over the winter months, but most of our good memories were spent in those unending summer months. We both hit our teens, things got hormonal and complicated, and we started to drift apart. Then one of her grandparents passed away and Paryse did not return to Quebec for summer vacation. I never heard from her again.

Every once in awhile, I do a google search on the names of old friends. I found my long lost buddy Ted Morrisson that way, and through Facebook, I'm managed to reconnect with a few others. But I never could find Paryse. I figured she was either not Web-minded, off continent, or maybe she had passed away too soon.

But it turns out that I had been searching for her using the wrong name. I had always been searching for Parys instead of ParysE. When I searched for Paryse Allen, I found her tiny bio in IMDB. It seems that 10 years ago, she was doing some acting on Sinbad and Relic Hunter. There are some photos of her on the IMDB and I recognized her right away.

So now what? If her last stint as an actress was 10 years ago, she must have been doing something else since then. I would love to find her and catch up on how her life has been going since those youthful summer months.

Update: Never mind! I found her at http://paryse.com/. It turns out, she's been quite busy and is looking to play Anna Nicole Smith in an upcoming biographical movie! Wicked!
