Name Dropping

A friend from Toronto is visiting, so we took him out to Hurley's tonight to hear Gary Davis play. While we waited for Gary and Denny (the musicians) to show up, I got the bar darts and played some cricket. A blonde woman was watching me play, so I invite her to play a game of cricket with me.

It turns out that she was from Boston and was visiting Montreal with her husband Chris Nilan (who was sitting nearby). Nilan is attending a ceremony tomorrow night where they will be retiring Larry Robinson's jersey (they were team mates).

I was too embarrassed to admit I couldn't remember for whom Nilan played, although I was fairly certain it was hockey. His wife throws darts like a girl.
