Appreciation

mythtellerTomorrow's the wake and then Monday is the funeral. I've been able to keep an even keel these past few days since Dad passed on, but I expect the next two days to be pretty rough. I'll get through it though... The family here is very well supported by family and friends.
Speaking of friends, one of them emailed me and said I shouldn't feel obligated to answer every one who has written to me to offer their sympathy and support. I'm very glad she said that because I was feeling guilty that I could not keep up with the tidal wave of messages I was getting on LJ, Facebook, email, and cellphone text messages.
But I do want to let you all know how appreciative I am to hear from everyone. Some people I barely know took the time to write to me, which really brought a tear to my eye. I feel blessed and honored by everyone who has taken a moment to share it with me. It means so much, you have no idea.
Strength is what I'll need to get through the next couple of days. At the risk of sounding too drippy, what all of you have shared with me in the past few days will give me that strength.
